Uranium Milestones Achieved at Etango Project

Connected Minerals has achieved significant uranium exploration milestones at its Etango North-East project in Namibia. The company recently conducted its maiden drilling program, which comprised 15 reverse circulation (RC) holes totaling 2,688 meters. This initiative was focused on high-priority zones which were previously identified through rock-chip sampling, demonstrating the project’s promising geological features and potential for high-grade uranium recoveries.

Significant Intercepts Reinforce Geological Potential

In notable results, 14 out of 15 drilled holes reported economic grades of uranium, affirming the resource’s valuation. Among these, standout intercepts included five meters at 358 parts per million (ppm) of uranium oxide (U₃O₈), with one meter hitting 814 ppm. Plans for a follow-up Phase 2 drilling campaign are already in the works, further exploring the open-ended mineralization both at depth and along strike.

Initiatives at Swakopmund Uranium Project

Moreover, Connected Minerals has also initiated a maiden RC drilling campaign at the Swakopmund uranium project (EPL 9162), consisting of 22 holes covering 105 meters. This drilling effort is guided by an initial geophysical survey, which suggested several potential paleochannels, notably a 600-meter-wide anomaly. Managing Director Warrick Clent commented on the necessity to analyze the current results before planning subsequent steps in the uranium exploration process, indicating a strategic approach moving forward.

In summary, Connected Minerals is making strides in uranium exploration, particularly at the Etango North-East project, where economic grades of uranium have been reported. The follow-up drilling phase is expected to further boost the potential for mineralization. Meanwhile, the new drilling efforts at Swakopmund could reveal additional opportunities, showcasing the company’s proactive approach and commitment to exploring rich mineral resources in Namibia.
