Huế Central Hospital, in collaboration with the Interplast Volunteer Surgical Team, is providing free surgeries for children with cleft lip and palate deformities. Over 100 children are receiving treatment in this initiative aimed at restoring their smiles and improving their quality of life. Since 2016, the partnership has resulted in nearly 1,200 surgeries and enhanced training for local medical staff.

In Huế, Vietnam, hundreds of children suffering from congenital disabilities, particularly cleft lip and palate deformities, have benefitted from a recent humanitarian initiative offering free screenings and surgeries. This initiative, announced by Dr. Nguyễn Hồng Lợi, director of the Maxillofacial Centre at Huế Central Hospital, is a collaboration with the Interplast Volunteer Surgical Team from Germany, running from March 10 to March 20.

The collaborative efforts between Huế Central Hospital and the Interplast Organisation have significantly improved the lives of many children with congenital disabilities. Through free medical interventions, these children are granted the opportunity for a brighter future, restoring their confidence and health. The continuous commitment to enhancing surgical techniques and support for medical staff promises further advancements in treating cleft lip and palate deformities.
