The President of Ghana, John Mahama, has announced the intention to enhance economic collaboration with Burkina Faso through the initiation of direct flights connecting Accra and Ouagadougou. Following discussions with Captain Ibrahim Traoré, Burkina Faso’s military leader, it has been proposed that a Ghanaian airline will operate daily flights to improve trade and connectivity between the two nations.
President Mahama emphasized the relevance of trade, especially in agricultural products, and the need to streamline processes for exporters and importers. He stated, “One of the key initiatives is the introduction of a direct Accra-Ouagadougou flight, with an airline in Ghana already showing interest.”
