Neil Tomkinson, U Mobile’s Chief Information Officer, stated that this collaboration will foster innovation in IoT solutions, significantly enhancing the efficiency of supply chains.
The agreement will leverage U Mobile’s next-generation network in conjunction with the Qualcomm Aware Platform to provide seamless performance characterized by ultra-low latency and high-speed data transfer. This technological foundation is set to facilitate advanced automation, drive asset visibility, enhance security, and promote overall efficiency while reducing costs for enterprises.
To facilitate adoption, both parties will focus on developing customized go-to-market strategies for various sectors, particularly those dealing with high-value assets requiring real-time monitoring. These sectors include logistics, healthcare, and manufacturing, as well as industries where environmental conditions affect product quality, such as pharmaceuticals, agriculture, and cold chain logistics.

The signing ceremony was attended by Deputy Communications Minister Teo Nie Ching and Chee Hong Leong, commissioner of the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission.
