Clinton Robinson was brought before the Kingston and St Andrew Parish Court for his actions, including charges of disorderly conduct, curfew breach, and resisting law enforcement.

According to the prosecution, Robinson was discovered outside his community during curfew hours. When the police attempted to apprehend him, he allegedly resisted arrest and responded with abusive language.

Judge Sanchia Burrell, overseeing the case, made light of the situation, humorously likening Robinson’s behavior to being a member of the “elbow benders club,” a term typically associated with drinking. Robinson, however, countered that he was forcibly put into the police vehicle and disputed the prosecution’s narrative, labeling it as false.

Despite his objections, Robinson chose to plead guilty solely to the breach of curfew. As a result, he received the $5,000 fine or faced ten days in custody—a significant consequence for his actions. On the other hand, he maintained his not guilty plea regarding the charges of disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. Those specific charges are set to be transferred to the Lay Magistrates Court for trial scheduled for June 17.
