TATA.ev has partnered with Allied Motors to introduce a range of electric vehicles in Mauritius, marking its first expansion beyond the SAARC region. TATA.ev, a subsidiary of Tata Motors, has broadened its footprint in Mauritius through a partnership with Allied Motors, the foremost automobile distributor in the region. This collaboration introduces TATA.ev’s electric vehicle (EV) offerings, including the Tiago.ev, Punch.ev, and Nexon.ev, which are crafted on advanced high-voltage platforms, enhancing terrain response, safety, comfort, and reducing maintenance needs.

Yash Khandelwal, Head of International Business at Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Ltd., noted that this expansion marks TATA.ev’s entry into markets outside the SAARC region. He emphasized the Mauritian government’s dedication to sustainable mobility, establishing the country as a pivotal element in their EV strategic initiatives.

James Ngan, Managing Director of Allied Motors, remarked that the new TATA.ev models are tailored to meet the rising demand for sustainable and modern mobility solutions in Mauritius, emphasizing the vehicles’ power, efficiency, and cutting-edge technology. Allied Motors commits to providing extensive after-sales support to enhance the customer experience.

The TATA.ev lineup features the Tiago.ev, with a range of 190-210 km and rapid charging capabilities of under an hour. The Punch.ev, a compact SUV, offers a range of 270-290 km and is equipped with advanced infotainment and safety features. The Nexon.ev, a larger electric SUV, provides an impressive range of 350-375 km and a suite of technological features, including a 360° camera system and DC fast charging.

Each vehicle is backed by an 8-year or 160,000 km warranty on the battery and motor, complemented by complimentary home charging equipment. Allied Motors ensures a professional approach to sales and after-sales service, enhancing the overall ownership experience.
