The Liberia National Police (LNP) has suspended two officers from their duties following an investigation into their unlawful entry into a gray Nissan Jeep owned by Montserado County District 10 Representative Yekeh Y. Kolubah. The incident, which occurred on February 18, 2025, involved opening a vehicle that was parked at the Capitol Building without a license plate. Chief Inspector Frank P. Banda was suspended for two months without pay for entering the vehicle unlawfully, while Sergeant Sam C.F. Karbah received a one-month suspension for unlawfully opening it. The investigation was prompted by a report from Representative Kolubah regarding missing valuables, including cash and personal items, totaling significant sums.
The LNP has emphasized its commitment to transparency and accountability. Should any connections be established between the suspended officers and the reported theft, further actions will be initiated by the Crimes Services Division. Additionally, an individual, identified as Jack Traore, has been invited for questioning concerning an act involving the vehicle.
The LNP has pledged to conduct a comprehensive investigation, including reviewing video footage from the incident to identify individuals potentially linked to the missing items. Public patience has been requested as the police continue to manage this serious situation with diligence.

The suspension of two LNP officers highlights the organization’s commitment to integrity and accountability in law enforcement. Investigations are ongoing concerning the unauthorized entry into Representative Kolubah’s vehicle, which is connected to a reported theft of significant cash and valuables.
