Chilling Details Emerge from Meerut Murder Case: Pre-Meditation and Betrayal

In the Meerut murder case, Muskaan Rastogi and her lover Sahil Shukla premeditated the killing of Muskaan’s husband, Saurabh Rajpur, by rehearsing stabbing techniques and buying weapons. They dismembered the body and concealed it under cement. The couple’s drug addiction and Saurabh’s intention to take his family to London were key elements in this tragic case, which culminated in Muskaan’s confession to her parents.
In the murder case of Saurabh Rajpur, police in Meerut uncovered disturbing details revealing that Muskaan Rastogi, the prime suspect and wife of Saurabh, purchased two knives eight days prior to the crime for Rs 800. Investigators stated that Muskaan rehearsed multiple stabbing techniques, indicating her severe intent. Additionally, she acquired a cut-throat razor, which was ultimately used to decapitate Saurabh.
Muskaan and her accomplice, Sahil Shukla, have been arrested for the heinous murder of Saurabh, which occurred in their home on March 3. After dismembering his body into 15 pieces, they concealed it within a plastic drum and buried it under cement. The gruesome details came to light when Muskaan confessed to her parents, who subsequently reported her to the police, while Saurabh’s family had already filed a missing person report.
Investigative findings unraveled a storyline of addiction and betrayal, revealing Muskaan and Sahil’s drug use and their fear of Saurabh intervening in their affair. Saurabh was aware of their relationship and had contemplated divorce to ensure a better future for their six-year-old daughter, especially during his visit from London for her birthday.
Further inquiries indicated that Saurabh, whose London visa was nearing expiration, intended to renew it while at home and had aspirations of relocating his family to London. Muskaan opposed these plans, preferring to remain in Meerut with Sahil. This disagreement prompted Saurabh to consider taking their daughter alone, even applying for her passport.
On the night of the murder, Muskaan allegedly drugged Saurabh with sleeping pills, then fatally stabbed him three times before using the razor to slit his throat. Sahil assisted in severing the head from the torso. After dismembering the body, they decided to seal it in wet cement to mask the smell, differing from their initial plan of burying the pieces under mud to later plant a sapling. However, the weight of the drum proved problematic, leading them to panic and eventually confess their crime.
The case of Saurabh Rajpur paints a grim picture of betrayal and tragic consequences fueled by addiction. The investigation revealed premeditated actions by his wife, Muskaan, and her lover, Sahil, culminating in an appalling crime that drew the attention of law enforcement and raised pressing questions about domestic relationships and drug abuse. Their misguided efforts to conceal the crime ultimately led to their undoing, exposing the depths of their desperation.
