Fuel Prices Increase on March 25, 2025: Gasoline, Diesel, and Kerosene

Motorists will encounter increased fuel prices on March 25, 2025, as Caltex, Seaoil, and Shell announce price hikes for gasoline, diesel, and kerosene. Adjustments include a P1.10 increase for gasoline and P0.40 for diesel and kerosene. Cleanfuel will follow suit, excluding kerosene adjustments. The DOE projects these increases due to geopolitical tensions and recent economic measures in China.
Motorists will face increased fuel costs this week, as several firms announced price hikes after a period of three consecutive weeks of rollbacks. Starting on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, companies such as Chevron Philippines Inc. (Caltex), Seaoil Philippines Corp., and Shell Pilipinas Corp. will raise the price per liter of gasoline by P1.10, while diesel and kerosene prices will increase by P0.40 each.
Cleanfuel will also implement the same price adjustments for gasoline and diesel, though it does not sell kerosene. The price changes will take effect at 6 a.m. on Tuesday, except for Cleanfuel, which will adjust its prices at 4:01 p.m. that same day. Other fuel firms have yet to announce any changes for this week.
The Department of Energy-Oil Industry Management Bureau (DOE-OIMB) has projected these increases due to rising tensions in the Middle East, increased consumption linked to Beijing’s fiscal stimulus measures, and a contraction in US fuel inventories. Notably, the previous week saw a rollback in diesel prices by P0.20 and kerosene by P0.40, while gasoline prices remained unchanged.
In summary, motorists in the Philippines will experience higher prices for gasoline, diesel, and kerosene starting March 25, 2025. Multiple fuel firms have confirmed these changes due to rising geopolitical tensions and economic factors influencing fuel demand. This adjustment comes after a recent period of price rollbacks, reflecting the volatile nature of the global oil market.
