Muskaan Rastogi and her lover Sahil Shukla, accused of murdering her husband Saurabh Rajput, are currently in judicial custody. They have been kept in separate cells due to prison regulations. Sahil is reportedly experiencing withdrawal symptoms, and both have not communicated with other inmates. Allegations detail a brutal crime, motivated by fear of drug exposure, and troubled relationships.

In Meerut, Muskaan Rastogi and her partner Sahil Shukla, both accused of the horrific murder of her husband Saurabh Rajput, have encountered restrictions in prison regarding their confinement. Although they expressed a desire to share the same barrack, authorities cited regulations preventing this. Currently, they are housed in adjacent cells but remain isolated from other inmates.

Reports from prison authorities indicate that Sahil is exhibiting withdrawal symptoms, appearing restless, while both individuals refrain from communicating with other inmates. They have not received any visitors since their incarceration. Muskaan experienced a lack of appetite on her first day but has since resumed eating. Both have received counseling at the prison’s de-addiction center as staff closely monitor them.

The couple, arrested last week, is in judicial custody as police plan to request further custody for detailed questioning in relation to the investigation. Allegations state that Muskaan drugged her husband, Saurabh Rajput—a former Merchant Navy officer—and stabbed him on March 4. They then dismembered his body, sealing the pieces in a cement-filled drum and was later discovered that they traveled to Himachal Pradesh, using Saurabh’s phone to mislead family and friends. Muskaan subsequently confessed the crime to her parents.

Muskaan and Saurabh, who married in 2016 and have a six-year-old daughter, had a troubled relationship marked by her affair with Sahil. Previous divorce considerations by Saurabh were postponed for the sake of their daughter’s well-being. Muskaan’s parents assert that the couple’s fear of exposing their drug use led to the murder, while Saurabh’s family has expressed resentment towards Muskaan, alleging she was motivated by financial gain in their marriage.

In summary, the case of Muskaan Rastogi and Sahil Shukla highlights the disturbing circumstances surrounding a violent crime and the subsequent consequences they face in prison. Their tumultuous relationship, drug-related issues, and the poor dynamics with familial relations are integral to understanding the motives and complexities of this case.
