A disturbing murder case has emerged in Meerut, where Saurabh Rajput, a merchant navy officer, was allegedly killed by his wife, Muskan Rastogi, and her lover, Sahil Shukla. Saurabh’s body was dismembered and encased in cement inside a drum following the horrific crime, which took place soon after his return from London for his wife’s birthday.

On March 4, Muskan administered drugs to Saurabh’s food, causing him to lose consciousness. Together with Sahil, she then stabbed him to death and attempted to conceal the murder by dismembering his body. It was revealed that they had attempted this crime previously on February 25, but their first effort failed when Saurabh remained alert and conscious.

Initially, the murderers planned to dispose of the body parts discreetly, but ultimately opted to encase them in a large drum filled with cement and sand. Following the murder, Muskan and Sahil took a vacation to Himachal Pradesh, visiting locations like Manali, Kasol, and Shimla, while Saurabh’s dismembered remains lay sealed in their home.

Muskan’s parents expressed their shock at their daughter’s actions, with her father, Pramod Rastogi, condemning her behavior and advocating for the death penalty for both Muskan and Sahil. He stated, “Saurabh left everything for Muskan, including his job and family. But she ended up taking his life. Muskan has lost the right to live. Such a person does not deserve to walk the earth.”

Both Muskan and Sahil were arrested and have since been presented to the media. They were placed in 14-day judicial custody amidst a chaotic court appearance where lawyers attempted to physically confront them. Reports also indicate that Sahil had introduced Muskan to drugs, and law enforcement is looking deeper into the drug-related aspects of this case.

The Meerut murder case highlights a grievous betrayal, where Saurabh Rajput lost his life to a conspiracy hatched by his wife and her lover. Following a gruesome murder and subsequent dismemberment, the accused attempted to evade justice through a vacation while his remains were concealed at home. Calls for justice and accountability are echoed by the victim’s family, emphasizing the severity of the crime and the need for appropriate legal repercussions for the perpetrators.
