Qatar Cabinet Urges International Action for Gaza Amid Humanitarian Crisis

Minister of Justice and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs H.E. Ibrahim bin Ali Al Mohannadi emphasized Qatar’s strong condemnation of the Israeli occupation and its renewed aggression, warning that such actions defy international peace efforts and could escalate regional tensions.
The Cabinet highlighted the dire humanitarian conditions in Gaza, which necessitate immediate international intervention to safeguard the Palestinian population. It further stressed the importance of resuming dialogue to implement the ceasefire agreement, aid entry into Gaza, and facilitate reconstruction as per the approved Gaza Reconstruction Plan from the Arab Summit on March 4, 2025.
Attention was also given to the Shura Council’s approval of a draft law to foster innovation and scientific research, aiming to stimulate creativity and align research efforts with local community needs while addressing national development goals.
Additionally, the Cabinet approved the draft law on the Owners’ Association to regulate property management and prevent disputes among unit owners in shared real estate. This law requires the establishment of an owners’ association for collaborative decision-making, ensuring that collective interests are prioritized.
Further, the Cabinet endorsed collaboration agreements between the Qatar Fund for Development (QFFD) and international organizations, including UNICEF and the International Labor Organization. These agreements aim to enhance education, health, and sanitation efforts in Cuba and support ILO programs.
The meeting concluded with a review of reports from the Coordination Committee at Hamad International Airport, Qatar’s participation in the Global Labor Market Conference, and the signing of Qatar’s accession to the founding statute of the Integrated Industrial Partnership for Sustainable Economic Development, resulting in appropriate decisions being made for each report’s outcomes.
