Martin’s pre-season preparations were significantly hampered after he sustained injuries, including a broken right hand and foot during a crash on the first day of a test session in Malaysia.
After suffering a second crash while training on a supermoto all-terrain bike, Martin detailed his injuries: broken radius and scaphoid bones in his left wrist, four fractures in his left foot, and muscular injuries to his right ribs. Currently, Martin finds himself trailing six-time world champion Marc Marquez by 74 points, as Marquez has achieved victories in both races and sprints during his inaugural season with a factory Ducati.
Despite the setbacks, Martin remains positive. He commented, “It was a difficult time but now I start to see the light” on social media, indicating his recovery is progressing well.
