The NCM has issued a warning for thunderstorms, heavy rainfall, and dust storms in Saudi Arabia from Wednesday to Sunday, particularly affecting Makkah, Madinah, Al-Baha, and Asir regions with potential for flash floods and hail. Lighter rains are forecasted for several northern regions.

The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) in Saudi Arabia has issued a weather alert for moderate to heavy thunderstorms anticipated from Wednesday to Sunday. Major regions affected include the Makkah area, where governorates such as Jeddah, Rabigh, and Taif may experience significant rainfall, flash floods, and hail, along with dust storms that could reach speeds of 60 km/h.

Similarly, the Madinah region, including cities like Khaybar and Badr, is preparing for comparable weather conditions characterized by thunder, rainfall, and expected flash floods. This pattern of weather also extends to the Al-Baha region, which will face heavy rains and dust storms, potentially causing hazardous conditions.

Forecasters indicate that the Asir region will endure the most intense weather, with moderate to heavy rainfall peaking on Friday and Saturday, alongside dust and sand storms similar to other affected areas. Jazan residents should brace for heavy rainfall, with flash floods and dust storms anticipated as well.

The Najran region will receive moderate rains, also accompanied by dust storms and the risk of flash floods. Conversely, lighter conditions are predicted for the Riyadh, Qassim, Hail, and several northern regions, which are expected to see light to moderate rainfall with active downdrafts raising dust and sand from Wednesday through Sunday.

The NCM has warned of substantial thunderstorms impacting various regions in Saudi Arabia, primarily from Wednesday to Sunday. The Makkah, Madinah, Al-Baha, and Asir regions face the highest risks of severe weather, including flash floods and hail. Residents in affected areas are advised to prepare for hazardous conditions, while lighter weather is expected in other parts of the country.
