Scott’s body was discovered in a forest after he was reported missing in February, prompting authorities to initiate a manhunt for suspects, including Samuel Musembi.

Musembi is believed to have fatally stabbed himself multiple times following an initial attempt to poison himself, according to reports. He was reportedly in hiding at a friend’s home, who subsequently called law enforcement upon discovering Musembi unconscious.

Prior to Musembi’s death, he was one of three men sought in connection with Scott’s murder. Other suspects have been identified as Benard Mbunga Mbusu and Alphonse Munyao Kilewa, who have past criminal records involving abductions and extortion against a church pastor.

The Kenyan Directorate of Criminal Investigations is actively pursuing these individuals, having stated that the suspects fled after committing the heinous act. His remains were later discovered in a bag, approximately 66 miles from Nairobi.
