Connected Minerals Engages Hammerstein Drilling for Maiden Program in Namibia

Connected Minerals has contracted Hammerstein Drilling for its first reverse circulation drilling program in Namibia, starting in April. The 2,500m program will focus on the Etango North-East and Swakopmund projects, following successful prior fieldwork and surveys. CEO Warrick Clent heralds this as a significant milestone for the company.
Connected Minerals (ASX:CML) has engaged Hammerstein Drilling, a Namibian contractor, to execute its inaugural reverse circulation reconnaissance drilling program at the Etango North-East and Swakopmund projects in Namibia. Set to commence in April, this initiative will involve drilling 33 holes, totaling 2,500 meters, with the majority focused on the Etango North-East site, where 2,000 meters will be drilled, and the remaining 450 meters allocated to the Swakopmund site.
The drilling efforts will initially concentrate on Etango North-East, following the identification of high-priority targets after a rock chip sampling program conducted in December 2024. After completing this phase, the team will then shift to the Swakopmund project, focusing on targets identified through a recent horizontal-loop electromagnetic survey.
Warrick Clent, CEO of Connected Minerals, remarked that the partnership with Hammerstein Drilling marks a significant milestone for the company as it prepares to begin drilling activities in April. “The commencement of drilling will be a major milestone for Connected Minerals and will build on the encouraging targets we have identified at both projects during our field work to date,” Clent stated. He expressed anticipation of a robust news flow following the commencement of operations.
Based in Swakopmund, Hammerstein Drilling boasts substantial experience in reverse circulation drilling programs for mining explorers within Namibia, Angola, and globally. Connected Minerals focuses on uranium exploration, primarily within its extensive asset portfolio located in Namibia and Western Australia.
The collaboration with Hammerstein Drilling signifies a vital development for Connected Minerals as it embarks on its first drilling project in Namibia. With a clear focus on high-priority targets, the company aims to build upon its previous fieldwork and enhance its operational prospects. Drilling is set to commence in April, providing opportunities for significant advancements in its exploratory initiatives.
