Additionally, several routes within the Nampula province have become impassable, including stretches from Nametil to Angoche, Nampula to Liúpio, and from the Naguema to Chocas-mar intersection, among other sections.
Regarding the cyclone’s impact on people, Anacleta Botão, the INGD delegate in Nampula, noted the lack of concrete data due to the challenges faced by survey teams. She indicated that adverse weather conditions had only begun to improve on Tuesday morning. Nevertheless, emergency kits have been pre-positioned in areas identified as potential impact zones.
