Kalicharan Mas won his 31st large band title at the San Fernando Carnival, with Trinidad All Stars, Ronnie & Caro, and The Lost Tribe also securing notable wins. Results were announced on March 7, featuring detailed results across multiple categories, showcasing the rich cultural expressions of the event.

Kalicharan Mas has achieved an impressive milestone by winning the 31st title for large band of the year at the San Fernando Carnival. This recognition came alongside other notable winners, including Trinidad All Stars, Ronnie & Caro, and The Lost Tribe, which triumphed in various categories across Downtown, Uptown, and San Fernando regions. The results were officially announced on March 7 at city halls corresponding to each area.

In the Uptown category, The Lost Tribe secured the large band of the year with their theme “Lost in Time,” scoring an outstanding 260 points. Trinidad All Stars closely followed in second with their portrayal “Sailors Ashore in Brazil,” amassing 219 points. K2k Alliance led in the medium-band category with their depiction of “Holy Trespasses,” while Ombre Mas and Image Nation placed second and third, respectively. Vibez Rhythm Band won the small-band category, with Exodus Sailore and Antourage Productions taking the subsequent spots.

In terms of San Fernando results, Kalicharan Mas was recognized for his long-standing success, earning the title for the 31st time. Fireworks Carnival earned second place in the large band category. The medium- and small-band categories were triumphed by Jagessar Costumes and Alvin Maynard and Friends, respectively.

The Downtown Carnival Results showcased Machel Montano leading the Road March with his song “Pardy,” receiving 70 plays. The large band results featured Trinidad All Stars and Ronnie & Caro neck and neck, with exciting performances throughout the festival. Additionally, K2k Alliance & Partners and Kinetic Mas competed vigorously in the medium band segment. Small-band performances by First Citizens Original Jab Jab and Tribal Connection Cultural Promotion were notable highlights.

The awards for the Most Colorful Bands acknowledged exemplary contributions in various categories, with Paparazzi Carnival, Kinetic Mas, and Tribal Connection Cultural Promotions recognized for their remarkable themes and presentations. Overall, this year’s Carnival was a vibrant showcase of creativity and musical talent across Trinidad and Tobago.
